Winter ocean has a special place in my heart (as long as it’s not bringing freezing cold air haha). It is so beautiful, powerful, even more so in gloomy weather. I loved being there and watching grey waves crash, it was so soothing and calming, moments like this are everything especially if they are shared with great people. We had friends visiting from Vegas and it was really fun to meet up and show them around the day LA is so different from its usual self.

I also loved watching Alaric explore and look around at the ocean, follow seagulls with his eyes, he is so much more alert and curious now compared to when he was little and I love capturing those simple moments on camera. Everything changes so quickly, weather, places, people, you and your thoughts, and if you think about it, every moment is a unique combination of many different things and even one little thing changing could affect the whole experience. Catching the moment as it happens naturally is my favorite thing in the world when it comes to photography.
